50mm vs 35mm comparison

Test shots taken with cropped sensor camera (Canon 20D) and Canon 50mm or Canon 35mm lens.  I was sitting in the same spot for all photos - sitting on the floor with my back against the wall while positioning my lovely model Teagan in approximately the center of the room.

Canon 50mm

I had to take most of the 50mm shots in portrait orientation so I could get her head in the shot.  It was often difficult to get her and what she was playing with in the shot from where I was sitting.

Canon 35mm

I was able to capture Teagan's body and most of what she was playing with by using the 35mm lens.  You can also see how much more of the crib shows in the comparison shot.

This one is a special gift for Ania - "biiiig poops" in a diaper from Teagan's baby doll :)

For comparison, the I also took 2 pictures using the 50mm lens and a full frame Canon 5D mk ii body.

These shots are pretty much on par with the crop sensor camera + 35mm lens
